The biggest mistake that new players is hitting when the dealer has a bigger chance of busting .Unlike the dealer, a player can stick on any amount and does not have to reach at least 17.
For example if the player has 12 and the dealer has 3, then it is advantageous to stand, and hope that the dealer busts.

If the dealer has 4,5 or 6 then the dealer is very likely to bust.
These are known as 'dealer busting cards' and it is a good chance to double down or split whenever you can take advantage of this situation.
Remember that the dealer must reach at least 17, and there is a good chance that the dealers next card is a 10, leaving a total of 14,15, or 16, where it is easy to bust from.
